Weigh in Results

I lost two pounds this week! I love it when I lose a whole number, not like 1.8 or 2.2, not that I would have complained if I lost more than two pounds, but still, it's an odd satisfaction to lose two WHOLE pounds. Strange, I know.

This weekend was really good. I'm realizing that I can really stay active for much longer these days. Saturday was filled with working out and unpacking. By about 5:00 we were exhausted, but just the fact that we worked pretty much all day was a big step in the right direction. Sunday was even more of an active day. In the morning we watched a friend run the Platte River 1/2 marathon which was a decent amount of walking (with a bum foot) that is. Then after that we biked to Wash Park, had a picnic with friends and played Frisbee. We were there for about 4 hours. Neither of these activities would even count close as a "workout" but it was nice to remain so active. Last night we went out for dinner at City o' City and had a couple of beers with dinner and by the time we got home...7:45, we went straight up to bed and were asleep by 8:00!

Yesterday I was talking to my mom and she said that she joined a gym! This is big news because my mom sort of has "joiners-anxiety" which is the sister to "club-anxiety" and "meeting-apprehension." I totally get it. I have it too, but I keep it at bay pretty well. Way to go mom!

for the May Day challenge, if you're in it! If you're not in it, you should be. All the cool kids are!

  2. Katy you are doing great...and thanks to you and the added push I lost 3.4 this week, and it has been awhile since I have lost over 3 lbs in one week...but because I knew I was going to post on Clydesdale Project, I amped up my bike rides to 3 days and pushed the mileage, I really think that has helped thanks to you....and you are going to be the inspiration for your mommy also....everyone needs a push now and then, and reading your post helps everyone along the way...THANKS!!
