Restart

I need to find my restart button. This is not to say I've fallen off any wagon, but it is to say that I don't feel that fire under my ass like I used to.

What do do?

Thoughts?

There you go. You better do something quick, your ass is on fire! :)

Get back to the basics Katy... no matter which plan or "diet" you are following. Make sure it's something you can realistically work into your life so you can do it for your life. And get back to the basics of it.

  2. Try a mini goal? Like you cutting out soda; it may or may not affect your weight loss (or be something that's independantly easily measurable), but it was something you chose to change that wasn't overwhelming. Maybe you can chose one other thing to change forever. It doesn't have to be something big, but if you're intentional about it, sometimes it'll modify your other habits to get in-line with your overall weightloss goal. It could be drinking enough water or getting 20 minutes of activity a day regardless of what else is on your schedule. 90% of weightloss (some say) is nutrition, so a nutrition goal could be the most impactful. Good LUCK!

  3. Make a list of specific things that you want to achieve. Maybe your goal was to "be healthier" and the swimming has filled (and achieved) that goal.

Find out if you're still interested in achieving the goal that you had previously set.

If you're not, adapt and figure out a new plan.

If you're happy where you are (clap your hands) and just breathe. You don't have to constantly be striving towards something. :)

  5. I don't know if you get food urges or not, but be an idiot and give in to one just once, that always gets me all frikking fired up! I get so mad I just burn up the exercise and eating like a man possessed. not the best advice, but it has gotten my fire lit twice now.

  6. Set a new goal. Something that you really want and then tell yourself you can have it. I really struggled through September and had nearly forgotten how good it felt to be in control. Nike offers the best advice: Just do it!

  7. I was feeling this way as well. Doing something new, different helped me break out of my rut.

  8. Try changing up your work out routine. Don't give up water ( I am a water aerobics instructor ) but try some cross training like walking, hiking, or weight training. It helps me.
