Body for Life day 30

How fitting that we watched Supersize me the other night. He binged for 30 days and we cleansed for 30 days. THIRTY DAYS WOW. I know I keep saying wow every time I post a week or day milestone, but it never gets old. It's still hard to believe we're doing this. Especially on days like today where all I wanted to do was stay in bed when the alarm went off at 4:30.

It went something like this.
4:30-BEEP BEEP BEEP, or rather “I’m Dave Mattingly for NPR news.” I have our alarm set to NPR. Don’t ask me why. I find his voice soothing to wake up to. Everything on NPR is soothing when it’s read in a monotone voice.

4:31- SLAP the snooze button
4:40-
Katy: I can’t go
Scott: why?
Katy: I’m just so exhausted. Can’t we go later? I’ll go right after work. I can’t do it today.
Scott: If we don’t go it’s just this once right?
Katy: yep
Scott: Ok, roll over.

4:50-
Scott: I’m going
Katy: ok

4:55- Alright, I’ll go too

I thought for sure we’d have more energy at this stage, but alas I’m still exhausted. My body just wasn’t built to wake up at 4:30. But then again, my body wasn’t built to be *** pounds either.

Since we moved this weekend we don’t have all of our clothes at the new house. Last night I ended up going to the gym in pajama pants and a t shirt. This morning I went in the same thing but this time I felt like a crazy woman. I was wearing my nice jacket with my pj bottoms, hair a wreck and glasses. It looked like I literally rolled out of bed and put on a jacket. Meanwhile scott is decked out in his workout gear. We were quite the pair.

I was so out of it I forgot to brush my teeth before the gym. To add insult to injury, I forgot even after the gym. That means I haven’t brushed my teeth today. I’m awesome!

  1. LOL LOL! That's okay, sis... you can brush your teeth when you get home from work.

I'll say "wow" too! Wow! I am amazed by your persistence! Even when you're down-right exhausted, you still keep the momentum going. Good for you for being REAL with yourself and staying focused. You are going to reach your goal weight and your goal lifestyle! I believe in you!
