Sharolyn T: She's kind, has really really pretty blue eyes and has a great laugh. I met Sharolyn through meetup.com. Meetup[dot]com is basicially a social website where people go to meet other people. When we moved to Denver, we knew no one. No-ONE! You probably won't be surprised to hear that I organize a group on meetup.com. It's called the Denver Young Couples Group. Except, really we're not all that young. I met Sharolyn during the first meetup, back when I was a super introvert. I remember she was sitting at the other side of the table with her husband and I had to literally force myself to walk over and talk to her. I was so nervous, but she was really nice and we've been friends ever since. Sharolyn participated in a biggest loser competition with her family and was telling me about it at a house warming party we had...which then got me thinking...I could host one too! And that's how this competition was born. So really, you should be thanking Sharolyn, not me. She's great and lost 20 or 30 lbs during her first (family) competition. Watch out!
George T: George is Sharolyn's husband, or rather Sharolyn is George's wife. George and Sharolyn, Sharolyn and George. They're a husband and wife team losing weight together and I think that's fan-frickin-tastic! I met George the same way I met Sharolyn. George is funny. I'm slowly finding this out. He's not an in-your-face kind of guy and it took a long time for him to open up, but now that we know eachother better, I'm realizing he's really witty and I like witty people. He's the quiet guy with the one liners that crack me up. You could miss them if you're not paying attention, but I think that's awesome. George lost a lot of weight on his first family round of the biggest loser too. They use the Wii to keep them honest.
Anne C: I met Anne through the blog world! I stumbled across her blog and saw a picture of the inside of her house that she was selling and thought, HEY, that looks like a Denver house. So I asked her if it was and it turns out we live like 5 minutes from eachother! Small world huh? You may know Anne as "Smaller Fun Pants" which is her blog name. The great thing is, is that Anne is cool. She's someone I actually like. It's one thing to meet someone through a blog, but it's another to actually get along in real life. I'm so glad we're friends. If you haven't checked out her blog yet, go HERE.
So there you go blog world...do you thing and make them feel welcome like I know you will, cause you're the best!
One more thing. I know some people try to not publicize their real name and use blog names, but...I've had some requests to publish the person's name along with their blog, so fellow competitors can connect with eachother. If you're open to this, will you please leave your name and your blog in the comments section? This way I can say...here's "Katy" with Project Look Good Naked, etc. Makes it easier for people to give support!
Have a great weekend!
